Happy end of July

Hoping Your July was Glittery

I hadn't used this Bugaboo image until now and those stars are great
accompaniments from "Boat" (ECD) at Dies R Us

I think I'll use this image again.  Fun to color and work with.
I love the Elizabeth Craft Design dies and sometimes one of the little items
is perfect on a card,  like the stars.

Happy Birthday With Glitter

It's a glittery month at Die Cut Divas and for me too..  I am having so much fun coloring the Bugaboo stamps this month.  Why STOP?  Wishing someone a Happy Birthday with this great die couldn't be easier either.

I loved using stickles to glitter up this gal.  I'm also using up some of my papers as note cards.  I like the way the stripes on this paper enhance the image panel.  I cut a bunch of papers that I don't normally use into note card sizes and have them ready to use so I WILL USE them.

This is a striking image and so neat to color. Enjoy your coloring.

Destination San Francisco on a Sunny Day

I found I like using the Destination San Francisco stamp to make a CAZ card, but one stamp should always have multiple uses.  I really enjoy using my Distress Inks and that's how I I thought I'd color my stamped panel.  I love how it turned out. Fun to color and imageine all the colors you could use to make your own cards.  You could sponge most of the background and then touch up with Copic markers and use the Copic White pigment to whiten those clouds.
Hero Arts Destination San Francisco

  • Supplies:
  • Hero Arts Destination San Francisco
  • Copic Markers on trees, street car, graying of some buildings & Copic Opaque White pigment for the clouds
  • Distress Inks Spiced Marmelade, Blueprint Sketch, Broken China, Mustard Seed at the horizon.
  • Cuttlebug

  • Brown Panel was a Dream Weaver backing panel.

Kathy's 30 Day Coloring Challenge with Hero Arts Friends

You've entered the BLOG HOP ZONE!  Some past hostesses/friends of Hero Arts are cheering
Kathy Racoosin from the Daily Marker on, in her 30 day coloring challenge.
Kathy is not doing her FIRST 30 day coloring challenge, but is hosting her FIFTH 30 day coloring challenge.  I'm finding it incredible that she's done one.  The premise of the challenge is to color something everyday, even if it's for five minutes.  As she says, it doesn't matter what you color or the medium you use.  We hope we give your creativity a "jump start", as Kathy says.  I know from past experience that all the blogs you visit will give you plenty of ideas.

At the end of the hop, you will find that Hero Arts is offering
TWO shopping sprees of $25.00.

(winners will be randomly picked from the blog comments of the blog hop).

I went totally clean and a bit simple today.  I actually found this image sitting on my desk as I was trying to clean it (my desk).  Obviously, I got distracted from cleaning the desk.  I don't know if these succulents come in these colors ((Copic markers B00, B000 and Y08), but mine do.

Supplies:
Hero Arts Stamp Your Own Succulents and To Do List (remember)
Copic markers (love that BG0000 for the glass)
Die-namics Stitched Rec STAX & Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles

Greetings From San Francisco

Happy July 4th and I'm sure San Francisco will be celebrating in style.

The challenge this month is "Anything Goes" and I'm sure the a2z Scrapbooking team is going to WOW you this month, yet again.  Have fun and let your imagination soar.

Just to let you know, I'm from California, just two (2) hours (well, a little less) from San Francisco, so I had to get this stamp set.  I liked the whole stamp set just the way it came in the package, so I decided to stamp it as the set it came in.  I do have to say that the row houses are much prettier than mine below, but I like them anyway.  Everyone leaves their heart in San Francisco, so I popped a red heart right on top of the stamped heart.  It fits perfectly.
Happy July 4th Greetings to You from San Francisco!

Celebrate with a Cake!

Happy 4th of July to all of us Americans on blog land.  What would a birthday be without a cake?

Die Cut Divas' July glitter parade continues.  What is more appropriate to celebrate the 4th of July than a nice cake delivered by a lass in red, white and blue?   I had such fun coloring this.  I always do with the Sun Bonnet lasses at Bugaboo stamps.  I just can't resist them. I really can't.

I hope you like my sample of glitter for Die Cut Divas' challenge for July, Make it glitter.

I'm entering this card in the Classic Design Team Open Challenge Blog.

Bugaboo digital stamps Fancy Sunbonnet Cake
Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles (and I love these large stitched rectangles)

July first - a little Caffeine Fix

July is an "Anything Goes" challenge for a2z Scrapbooking.  I created a gray-tone photo style panel to do a little something different.  I almost redid this card, but kept the scrap of black ink above the stamped sentiment.  I just thought it added a little something.  I coupled stamp and digital here.

Supplies:
Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut (Sentiment & die-cut)
Hero Arts Retro Frame (probably long out of stock)
Copic Gray markers - Cools
Die-namics stitched Rec STAX

You can use code Arlene15 at checkout to receive 15% off your purchase of $25 or more (before tax and shipping).  You can find this sample at a2z Stampbooking.

Hope you’ll join in our a2z Scrapbooking  July Challenge of "Anything Goes" with your Hero Arts stamps, dies and stencils. And, if you need some new supplies, don’t forget to shop at a2z Scrapbooking.  If you don't see a Hero Arts item you want, please click on the

Make It Glitter

Have a glittered July.  What with the fourth of July being a holiday with fireworks I thought I'd get my glitter on.  These glitter in the sunlight with a metallic shine.  I had to try out my Elizabeth Craft Designs' lighthouse and hot air balloon.  I had this shiny paper from Joy! Crafts years ago and never used it. It sure is bright.  I think a little goes a long way.  Photographing it is a bit of an operation too.

Supplies:
Elizabeth Craft Designs Lighthouse
Elizabeth Craft Designs Hot Air Balloons - there is a similar Elizabeth Crafts Hot Air Balloon here

Supplies:
Elizabeth Craft Designs Lighthouse
Elizabeth Craft Designs Best Wishes at Dies R Us

I picked up all the little paper bits from the die-cut and placed them inside the blue frame on this lighthouse.  It certainly shimmers with the light.  I like the Stand Up Helpers as it is so nice to have that long line of paper under the sentiment.

Happy Glittery July to you all.
