Perfectly Imperfect

Jane's Doodles

A Thank You to Jane's Doodles from me.

There's a big Thank You at Die Cut Divas.and this is my card.  I couldn't help but use these papers with one lone little monster, perfectly imperfect.  It's good for a fun card to send to a friend.

Hero Arts Scramble today

I'm entering this in the quickcard153 challenge.

I think I would have used a different color background if I had more time on the pink panel.  But 90 minutes is a killer if you have to redo colors.  I am just glad I finished this in time to photograph and post it.  Whew.

It's going out next week. I used my new stamp set and I made this a half page so my co-workers can sign this to send to a guy at work who is home sick.

Supplies:
HA Enjoy the Journey stamp and die combo.  at A2Z Scrapbooking
Toothpick for the flag
HA Nesting Tag Dies which I think are out of stock in HA, but A2Z still has them available.  It was easy to use the tag to die cut and then just cut inward for the V cut to make the flag.
HA Ombre Vintage Metallic Rust on the ship
HA Ombre Mint Julep to Emerald Green  (You could use the Pool to Navy also here)
Distress Inks Cracked Pistachio and Worn Lipstick
I clicked my fingers with some water to make the splatters.

I may make a card like this again, well, I definitely will be using this stamp and die set as I stamped and die cut an extra set.  Later.  Enjoy the weekend.

Sending Monster Hugs, For Sure

Jane's Doodles

Sometimes you just have to be silly and funny. That's just what this set is for.  Anyone who needs a hug or a lift in spirits needs a card like this.  I've posted this sample at Die Cut Divas.

Hero Arts You're Sew Nice

Make your sentiment be the focus.  The digital kit has many old fashioned images and sentiments that go together so well.  I love the pincushion and yest, I cut it out by hand and didn't lose any pins in the adventure. In real life, this is quite striking.  The black "pins" embedded into the pin cushion are dots of black enamel accents.  They pop more than seen here.  This was quite fun to do, very CAS.  Sometimes you should tell someone you think they're nice.  What better card to send someone who sews.

Monsters Just Hanging Out

Die Cut Divas has a wonderful sponsor in Jane's Doodles.  The challenge features either flowers, bushes, trees, grass, things like that.  I think my tree qualifies, even though all it's growing are ghosts.

Kind of a simple fun card to make.  These cute little monsters are blue diamonds in the ruff, so to speak.  I used blue gems for two of the monster's eyes and some as general embellies. I thought the sentiment was perfect.  I've cut the clear stamp sentiment into "sending" and "Smiles" so I could use "sending" with another sentiment from the same stamp set.  I hope you like it.  I have a friend who is not feeling well and will be sending this off to bring some smiles back.

New Angel

The challenge at Morgan's Artworld is "Anything with Wings"

I think this image is open to using so many different colors and I think I would love to keep coloring this same image many times over.  I think you can be so creative using this same image.

"New" Angel is so lovely and I hope you like my sample.

A2Z Scrapbooking Thread Your Day

The Sentiment is the Focal point of the May challenge.

What a great idea for a challenge.  I don't often add a sentiment on a card so that it can be used for any occasion that comes up.  But I found some wonderful sentiments in Make Your Own digital.  I hope I made the sentiment the focus of this card because the first thing I focus on is the sentiment when I look at it.   I think I kept it pretty CAS too.   And I have this card in mind for a dear friend of mine who has won blue ribbons for her quilted projects at the California State fair and quilting shows.  Be sure to thread your day with smiles and laughter too.

A2Z Say it in Words

The challenge at A2Z Stampbooking this month is to make the SENTIMENT the FOCAL POINT.  I had an idea of using an embossing folder of clouds as a background.  I think it worked.  I even have a silver lining up in the clouds (upper right).

Let's Say Hi to Jane's Doodles

Janes Doodles is the sponsor for Die Cut Divas' challenge for the month of May.  You can make projects with flowers, trees, grass, what?  Yes, grass.  Be sure to read the post on May 1st at Die Cut Divas for more details.

Here's my sample for May first.  Sometimes I have odd ideas and they come bursting upon me without even thinking.  Such are the arrows in the Monster Squad clear stamp set at Jane's Doodles.

Isn't this set adorable?  And can you see the arrows?  Those are my trees on the hill.  A fun idea.
